The Putney Chair was designed as a comfortable, relaxed lounge chair with a strong yet unobtrusive presence.

The design is built around the contrast between two materials. Soft, foam forms the upholstery, providing comfort and visual warmth, while a cast aluminium armrest and frame give the chair its structure.

The chair combines a simple aluminium frame with soft foam. The open frame keeps it visually light, while the rounded edges and smooth lines contrast with the softer upholstery.

The joint between the armrest and backrest is left visible.

Its low, wide proportions make for a relaxed sitting position and the bolted connections keep assembly and maintenance simple.
